One of Utah's premier bouldering destinations, and the heart of this whole effort.
Moe's Valley is a compact stretch of high-desert sandstone just southwest of St. George, famous for world-class bouldering. Hundreds of problems are packed into walkable boulder fields, and it draws climbers from across the country. It is the namesake and the heart of the campaign to protect Greater Moe's Valley.
World-class bouldering
Moe's Valley holds hundreds of established boulder problems across compact, walkable clusters of sandstone, with a range of grades and styles that keep climbers coming back. It is one of the best bouldering areas in Utah.
A national destination
Climbers travel from across the country to Moe's Valley, and it is a favorite stop on I-15 road trips through the Southwest. That draw supports local shops, guides, and the wider St. George economy.
Decades of stewardship
The climbing community has cared for this place for years, with volunteer trail-building, cleanups, and stewardship projects alongside the Access Fund and the Southern Utah Climbers Alliance. Protecting Moe's Valley continues that tradition.
Why it matters
Moe's Valley is the reason this whole effort has a name. Keeping it public and intact protects a world-class resource, a local economy, and a community's long connection to this ground.
